Tired of the traditional American Mother’s Day Brunch…? Consider the option of going Japanese!
Melinda Zerweck, the general manager for Temaki filled us in on what is happening at Media’s best sushi bar.
She explained that “the Japanese call Mother’s Day haha no hi and the Japanese celebrate Mother’s Day on the second Sunday of May. A family may prepare and enjoy traditional dishes that their mothers taught them to cook. The Japanese give their Mothers flowers, especially red carnations.”
Melinda and the staff invite you to celebrate a traditional Japanese Mother’s day at Temaki on Sunday between the hours of 1PM and 7PM. A very special prix fix menu is available and a red carnation. Reservations are suggested. Outdoor dining will be available weather permitting.
Temaki Sushi Bar is located at 19 South Olive Street in Media. For more information, call 610-566-5363 or visit them online at temakisushimedia.com.
